Wanting to become a volunteer for Paws and Claws?

Whether you want to volunteer one time, once in a while or regularly, we have ample opportunities for you to come in and help out!

If you are a people person and would like to help us at fundraisers or other events, like our annual FurBall, Columbus Days, or Home Show, check out the events page and give the shelter a call at 402-562-5683 to ask what we need or how you could help!
​
We also greatly appreciate individuals that come in to help socialize our animals!  Having volunteers come in to work with our adoptable animals really gives them the best chance at finding homes because they get to experience new people!
Socializing can include anything from playing with new kittens, brushing adult cats, walking dogs, or teaching the dogs some basic obedience skills!
If you enjoy brushing or bathing dogs, they would enjoy it also!

The staff at Paws and Claws is always happy to have people come in to help with the animal care any day of the week.

​All volunteers are required to attend a volunteer orientation prior to working with the animals.

Orientations are done one on one after you turn in your volunteer application.
